Approach

Attendees/Change Agents will participate in customized seminars that meet their equity and wellness needs.

Dr. Lindo collaborates with expert facilitators to structure a retreat agenda that includes strategies for leadership wellness, policy advocacy and educational equity. Furthermore, the work of educational equity cannot be done alone. Learning how to work with allies who are actively engaged in efforts to counter the discriminatory practices associated with power, privilege and oppression is an important part of building community support for change in schools and districts.

Collaboration and networking techniques are shared through integrated, enjoyable, outdoor activities that appreciate the diversity of leaders’ interests and abilities. Along with their colleagues, leaders take time to explore concepts, i.e., risk taking, trust building and effective ways to communicate the relevance and significance of educational equity for all students. This unique retreat environment gives committed leaders the opportunity to explore and have provocative, imaginative, solution oriented conversations that will assist in the disruption of patterns of inequity in their organizations.
